Laurel has over 19 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychometrist in Hampton Roads.  Laurel’s areas of proficiency include assessment and treatment of mood disorders, ADHD, and Anxiety, in addition to addressing issues related to low  self-esteem, personal identity, relationship challenges, and history of trauma.   Particular focus is placed on assisting the client to identify individual strengths and resources, to assist in the development of strategies to navigate specific challenges, such as life transitions, boundary-setting, and stress management. Laurel offers a collaborative approach, incorporating mindfulness techniques within a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework.
