Eric is a Tidewater native who received his training as a physician's assistant from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is nationally certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He has been described as "easy going, easy to talk to, respectful, knowledgeable, and caring." He considers it to be an honor to join you on your mental health journey and will walk with you every step of the way. He is now accepting new patients who are 16 years or older.
I was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Virginia and have since made Virginia my home. I attended the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, and I am a member of the Virginia State Bar. I worked at the Circuit Court of VA Beach and later as a Certified Guardian ad Litem representing children as well as incapacitated adults. I earned my Masters in Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School,.
As a patient you can expect me to listen to you attentively and treat you with respect. I love working with people and consider it a privilege to be on your care team. I specialize in treating symptoms of attention deficit disorder, PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. I am also certified through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to prescribe Buprenorphine in the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder.

I was born and raised locally in Hampton Roads. I attended ODU for undergraduate education, EVMS for my Master's as a PA, and Rocky Mountain University for my DMSc in Psychiatry.
I have a strong passion for mental health and always advocate for my patients. I truly believe in recovery and that we are capable of making it happen in our own lives. It's OK to not be ok. It's OK to feel like we need some backup and I want to be a part of that team that supports you.
I am comfortable treating psychiatric symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and psychotic disorders. I take a collaborative approach and always want my patients to feel heard. I look forward to working with you!
Dr. Daniels is a licensed nurse practioner who is certified in pediatrics and a pediatric mental health specialist. He has a Ph.D in family and family related nursing research. He sees children up to the age of 23 and has over 25 years of experience. He has held positions on the board of directors of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) as treasurer and was elected president twice.
